Keep Your Business Open

Cracked and broken glass are a risk to the security of your store and merchandise. We work meticulously and promptly so you don’t have to close shop for days.

We fabricate and cut our own glass, which saves you time and cost since you aren’t charged middleman markups.

Who We Work For

Glass Work for Businesses That Can’t Afford Downtime

Storefront and entrance glass takes more abuse than almost any other part of a building: constant door traffic, deliveries, temperature swings, vandalism and the occasional accident. When it fails, it is a safety problem, a security problem and a sales problem all at once.

Sameday Glass Repair is a mobile glass contractor serving offices, restaurants, retail stores, professional suites, apartment lobbies and property-management portfolios across Washington DC, Maryland and Northern Virginia. We come to you, assess the opening, secure it if needed, and cut and install replacement glass so you can get back to business.

Commercial Glass Problems We Fix Every Week

If you recognize one of these, a quick call can save you from a bigger repair later.

Shattered or Cracked Storefront Glass

We board up the opening if needed, then measure and replace the glass with the right type for the location.

Doors That Drag, Stick or Will Not Latch

Worn pivots, hinges, closers and misaligned frames are usually repairable without replacing the whole door.

Failed Door Closers

A closer that slams, leaks oil or no longer closes the door is a safety and security risk. We replace and adjust closers.

Fogged Insulated Glass

Moisture between the panes means the seal has failed. The insulated unit is replaced to restore clarity and efficiency.

Broken Locks and Strike Plates

We repair or replace locking hardware on glass and aluminum doors so your entrance secures properly.

Damage After a Break-In Attempt

Emergency board-up keeps the property secure the same day, followed by replacement glass and hardware.

Choosing the Right Glass for the Opening

Not every pane is the same. We help you match the glass to how the opening is used.

Tempered (Safety) Glass

Heat-treated for strength and designed to break into small, blunt pieces. Commonly used in doors, sidelights and other areas where people may contact the glass.

Laminated Glass

Two layers bonded to a plastic interlayer that holds the glass together when it breaks. A strong choice for security, sound control and storefronts that are frequent targets.

Insulated Glass Units

Two panes separated by a sealed air space to reduce heat transfer. If you see fog or condensation trapped between the panes, the seal has failed.

Plate, Tinted and Low-E Options

Clear plate for general use, tinted or low-E coatings for glare, privacy and energy performance. We can discuss what fits your building and budget.

Building codes generally require safety glazing in doors and in certain other locations. When we quote a replacement, we will tell you if the opening calls for tempered or laminated glass.
